Oregon Living Television awarded a Special Tourism Grant
from Lane County Parks focusing on “Ten Charming Towns in Lane County”.
The Oregon Living Television crew will roll cameras in Creswell, Springfield, Junction City, Veneta, Florence, McKenzie Hwy, Eugene, Cottage Grove, Coburg and Oakridge this spring and summer.
Each of the ten towns to receive production for 5-7 minute feature story showcasing history, recreation and events. The feature story will be followed up by 30-second promotional spots all of which will air on Oregon Living Television Weekend.
CVALCO President Kari Westlund had this to say, “Oregon Living Television provides a quality program on the many wonderful things to see and do in Lane County, helping area residents to become better ambassadors and attracting nearby neighbors to become loyal visitors to Lane County. OLTV has been a great marketing partner in promoting Lane County as a destination.”
Executive Producer Kathy Kingsbury said, “Our weekly program airs in Lane, Coos, Benton and Douglas Counties and encourages folks to recreate and vacation in the great state of Oregon. Our program is designed for those planning a day or overnight trip. The Lane County Parks grant allows us to offer valuable production and air time to those communities we most want to highlight.
The feature story on each town will be 5-7 minutes long. Local merchants are invited to promote their products and services at reduced advertising rates. Dale Ansite, Director of Photography for Oregon Living Television commented, “The more people who participate in the promotion the better the visuals of each town will be and the better the response they’ll receive. We recently featured the Yoncalla Deli’s 20th Anniversary. The event was packed and I heard from viewers dedicated to our program that they watch to see where to go and what to do on the weekends.”
Notably OLTV has been chosen by VocationVacations; "Considered an expert in their field, OLTV has been selected as a mentor for VocationVacations (www.vocationvacations.com <blocked::http://www.vocationvacations.com/>). The only company of its kind, VocationVacations is dedicated to enriching people's lives by allowing them to test-drive their dream under the tutelage of expert mentors. OLTV joins 300+ mentors across the country who provide more than 150 different opportunities for a hands-on, one-to-three day experience for "vocationers" wanting to walk in their shoes."
Oregon Living Television received the 2005 Partnership Award from CVALCO.
