Restaurant of the Month - January - Mom's Snak Shak
CRESWELL – They did it again!
Congratulations to Mom's Snak Shak who receives the honor of being selected Restaurant of the Month for the seventh month in a row, which breaks the consecutive month record again. Voted by our readership, and receiving 23.88% of the votes Mom's has acquired some detractors of their unique achievement.
Perhaps a review of some of the marketing responsible for their results would help explain the anolomy.
1. They post "Vote for Us" stickers on menus - This is available for all restaurants
2. OurCreswell.com business cards are available for diners - This is available for all restaurants
3. An owner presence is very constant - Don't most restaurants do that?
4. Promotion is always on their mind - Something we all should think about.
5. Community Involvement - They are visible at most local events
Macho's Family Pizza received 13.92% of the vote, and Tj's had 12.68%, sound familiar....It is the same 1-2-3 of last month.
Noteworthy is a local restaurant that received enough votes to qualify them for second place, however, after checking the totals, it appeared the votes were tainted, disqualifying them unfortunately.
In order to prevent this unfortunate event from happening again, we have changed the program to process the results which will accomplish a better display and preventative measure we hope will encourage everyone to participate.
A letter acknowledging the accomplishment will be sent to the winner and will receive additional recognition each week in our Restaurant of the Month article with a special notation of the accomplishment in the Restaurant Directory.
Diners from Creswell, Cottage Grove, Pleasant Hill and the surrounding area are encouraged to vote for their favorite restaurant each week on the OurCreswell.com Restaurant of the Month Poll which is located on the Home Page for a minimim of 15 days of the month and in the Restaurant of the Month Category.
It is now twelve consecutive months the number of those participating increased with many voting furiously for their restaurant, particularly toward the end of the voting. Several of the restaurants have promoted their restaurant by asking specifically for patrons to vote for them, probably a very good idea. This has increased the votes received for many of the top restaurants.
Make sure to vote for your favorite restaurant weekly, and let them know you are voting.
Happy Dining!
